All
passengers except those
who meet the qualifications
for youth, senior, disabled
or child fare categories.
No identification is
required for General
fares.
Youth
First
grade through 12th grade
only. College students
pay General fare. Youth
fares are in effect
at all times. Appropriate
ID must be shown each
time you board a bus
to receive the discounted
fare. School-issued
picture ID cards are
appropriate identification
to receive the discounted
fare or to purchase
a Youth pass. RTA also
offers Youth identification
cards to anyone in grades
1 through 12. A Youth
ID card costs $2.00.

Disabled/Seniors
Any
person who meets RTA
disability requirements
or seniors age 60 or
above are eligible for
a discounted fare on
all RTA fixed-route
services. Passengers
must show appropriate
ID each time they board
a bus to receive the
discounted fare. Seniors
may show proof of age
when boarding the bus
to receive the discounted
fare or they may obtain
a Senior ID card from
RTA. RTA Disabled ID
cards, Senior ID cards
and Medicare cards are
accepted on the bus.
Medi-Cal cards will
not be accepted.
RTA
offers disabled and senior
photo ID cards for its
senior passengers with
disabilities. RTA Disabled
ID cards are issued on
the second Tuesday of
every month between 9
a.m. and 12 p.m. at the
Janet Goeske Senior Center,
5257 Sierra Street in
Riverside. They are also
available every third
Thursday of the month
from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
at the James Simpson
Senior Center located
at 305 E. Devonshire in
Hemet, and every fourth
Wednesday of the month
from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
at the Mary Phillips
Senior Center located
at 41845 Sixth St. in
Temecula.
To
receive your Senior ID
card, you must show proof
of age 60 or above. There
is a $2 fee for the Senior
ID card. To receive a
Disabled ID card, individuals
must present a disabled
application form completed
by a doctor or licensed
health care professional,
or one of the following
as proof of disability: Medicare
Identification Card,
Department of Motor
Vehicles Disabled Person
Placard Identification
Card receipt, Braille
Institute Identification
Card, Disabled Veteran
Service-Connected Identification
Card, or a Social Security
Income Award Letter.
Medi-Cal cards will
not be accepted. There
is a $2 fee for the
Disabled
and Senior ID card.

Medicare Card
Any person who displays their valid Medicare Card is eligible for a discounted fare on all RTA fixed-route services. Passengers must show their Medicare Card each time they board a bus to receive the discounted fare.
Child
Height-based:
46” tall or under. Must
be accompanied by a
full-fare paying passenger.
ADA
The
RTA Americans with
Disabilities (ADA) ID
card is issued only
to persons who have
been specially certified
through the RTA ADA
Certification process.

ID
may
qualify
you for priority service
on any RTA Dial-A-Ride,
Corona Dial-A-Ride
and Riverside Special
Transportation, and
will qualify you for
the ADA After Hours
Service in Corona,
Norco
and Riverside. There
is no cost to obtain
an ADA Card.
Commuter
Routes
202, 204, 206 and 208
are commuter routes
with fares of $2.25
for general and youth,
and 60¢ for senior/disabled.
31-day and 1-day passes
are valid on all commuter
services with no extra
fare required.
Metrolink Passes
RTA will accept valid Metrolink passes for the full fare on routes that serve Metrolink stations during the period from one hour before to one after Metrolink’s service hours. The Metrolink pass must be valid on the day of travel. New, unvalidated 10-trip Metrolink passes carried by passengers travelling to Metrolink stations will also be accepted on boardings as those pass-holders are required to validate their new passes at the stations.
