RIDER ALERTS

Route and Schedule Changes Coming in September
On September 12, 2010, RTA will make adjustments to several routes to boost productivity and service. RTA will also begin serving the new Corona Transit Center. Routes with changes include 1, 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 25, 29, 40, 41, 49, 53, 61, 79, 202, 206, 216. An onboard brochure will debut this month with details of the changes. The new Ride Guide will debut on buses in late August.

MSJC Students to Ride for Free
If you’re a Mt. San Jacinto College student, you can ride RTA buses for free by using your student ID card. The offer, which begins Aug. 16, is valid on any RTA fixed-route bus including CommuterLink express buses. MSJC joins a growing list of colleges that offer free ride programs to students, including Riverside City College, Moreno Valley College, UC Riverside, California Baptist and La Sierra universities.

Get Your Discounted Pass
Are you a resident of the City of Riverside or do you ride the Corona Cruiser? Then you qualify for a discounted bus pass thanks to programs offered by the cities of Riverside and Corona. The programs offer discounted bus passes for up to 30 percent less than the retail price. For Riverside residents, visit RiversideGoTransit.com or call (951) 826-5311 for details. You’re Invited to the Corona Transit Center Ribbon-cutting
The long-awaited Corona Transit Center will move one step closer to completion next month when RTA hosts a public ribbon-cutting for the project on September 7 at 10 a.m. The event will be held near the North Main Metrolink Station off East Grand Blvd. in Corona.
